32. The Dwelling House
It is one of the oldest houses in Żyrardów built before 1867. Till 1939 it housed the police station.
33. The ‘Familijniak’ House
It was built before 1867. There were the first weaving looms installed in this building. It represents important historical value. Nowadays it is a dwelling house.
34. The Jewish School
The school was established at the beginning of the 20th century. After 1945 it was the Primary School No 4. Nowadays it houses Education Services Unit in Żyrardów.
35. The Former Butchery
It was built around 1890 and altered in 1945 to serve its purpose as the Voluntary Fire Brigade outlet. Now a car repair unit and a seat of Polish Automobile Association.
36. The Weaving Mill -‘Wanda’
The plant dates back to the 1860s. There is a bronze plaque on the outside wall commemorating inhabitants of Żyrardów who were killed there by the Nazi on 18th Sep. 1943.
37. The New Spinning Plant
It was built at the beginning of 1910s and connected by a roofed bridge with the old spinning plant. The building was the largest and the most advanced one of the Żyrardów Factory. One of the first in Poland based on ferroconcrete framing adapted to the weight of a few thousand of working spindles. On the roof of the building there was a fire-fighting water reservoir.
It was revitalized from 2007 to 2009 by private owners and designated for housing and small business services.
38. The Factory Gate
The gates were made at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
39. The Linen Factory
A small business unit, Linen Fabrics Factory (Fabryka Wyrobów Lnianych sp. Zoo), www.fwlinen.com.pl, was established in 1999 and continues the 170 years of linen production tradition in Żyrardów.
40. The Railway Station
It was built in the 1920s and based on Polish Manor House style, by the design of Romuald Miller. The interiors are decorated with four Ionic style columns.
41. The Water Tower
It was built around 1922 and it is located near the Railway Station.
42. The ‘Chodak’ House
The house built in 1900 by A. Chodak, an interesting figure from the guild of masons, carpenters and builders of sacral objects, among others—the Holy Mother of Consolation Church.
43. The Bank Building
The building is an example of Art Nouveau style which dates back to 1913 when it was built by Żyrardów’s Association of Capital Credit. After 1945 it was the seat of Polish National Bank. Now it is occupied by PKO SA Bank.
44. The Roman Catholic and Protestant Cemetery
It was established in 1881 and under the supervision of the Factory till 1891. After that was taken over by the local Roman Catholic Parish. The objects which are worth mentioning are Marie Marcellin grave (the granddaughter of Karl A. Dittrich) from 1884, the cemetery chapel by A. Chodak from 1911, the cemetery chapel of M. Wątróbski from the beginning of the 20th century, soldier quarters from 1920 and 1939, and Red Army soldier graves who died fighting the Germans and freed Żyrardów on 16 Jan. 1945.
